Life out if balance?

My oh my oh my!

What is going on?

If you listen to the news or talk to others much you understand the world seems to be falling apart.

Guess what...maybe it is!

You know as well as I.

But one thing I know for sure is there are many angry, lost, desperate people out there completely detached from their spirit.

We as a humanity are at an important place in history. I have no idea why I feel this but I know it is so.

This is the time we need to reach inside and see what resides within.

I had a revelation the other day while making our latest film. We do these impromptu videos in case you haven't noticed.

Spirit led me to talk about the word abide.

Suddenly I felt overwhelmed with emotion and understood that when we are told to abide.... it isn't just about abiding in HIM....but allowing HIM to abide in us.

Not that I really know what that means, but I feel it.

It provides comfort and courage to understand everything is alright. I am able to remain in a calm, comforted space although all around me might be spinning out of control.

Perhaps if you feel like everything is falling apart it's time to do a personal check and see what the word abide means to you.

It just might make you day, or even the rest of your life easier.

Connecting With Spirit Via Mother Nature

Many years ago I found the easiest way to replenish my spirit and soul was to work the earth. No matter what was going on, getting my hands dirty and nurturing the soil beneath my feet always grounded me in reality.

Frequently problems which seemed daunting were easily resolved before my work was done. Solutions often popped into my head as well seemingly out of nowhere, for those pesky issues which remained to be resolved.

The earth is forgiving and comforting, asking for little and providing so much without a second thought. Perhaps that is why we associate the earth with mother for there are many similarities.

Spring is a wonderful time to re-connect with nature and your spirit. Even if you never intend to grow anything and hate bugs, take time to inhale the energy flowing freely around. Look to the sky and enjoy the warming breezes. Notice the "all" ...blend into the oneness. Smile inside your soul!  Let go of your worries and concerns. Relax your physical being!

Plant a garden....a flower?

Don't be afraid of the mud. Have a great day.....enjoy Mother Nature's bounty.

Time For Transition!

Winter is on the way to wherever it waits until called again. Simply looking out the window this morning tells me that. The birds are frantic with joy. Even the squirrels are happy, sitting inside the birdfeeder eating away. The sun feels glorious on the body and soul. Our focus is on the warmth of spring and the anticipation of blooming flowers, even seeing some dandelions in the grass would be a welcoming sight. It is time and we are ready.

But let's take a moment to wish winter well, and be thankful for the beauty that came with it this year. Even though we might not like the cold, not to mention all the problems it brought, it was none the less beautiful. Every season is to cherished and appreciated. If you think about it everything is perfect just as it is. We tend to get tired of one season just as another is about to arrive, what great planning Mother nature has.

So relax in the last death spirals of winter and give thanks for all it brought. Wish it well on its way. The following visualization presents the beauty and joy of winter. Take time to be still in the moment, allow the soothing music to wash away the winter blues. Soon enough the demands of spring will consume us.

Remember to have gratitude and appreciation for all things.

Spring Is Just Around The Corner

I feel tormented looking out at the gentle rain pouring down outside the window, holding my urge to escape the house at bay. This morning I sit here suffering from pre-spring fever. The past few days a hint of warmth entered the air bringing with it a sense of restlessness. Sign are everywhere it won't be too long now. Yesterday they were popping up all over.

For the first time this year my arch enemy dare show his face. Fearlessly  he sat there, as if laughing at my attempt to act like I own the place. He holds his ground, master of all he surveys. Yes...I am talking about...dund, dund, da.... ..........................HIM.
Unfortunately...he seems much smarter that I. Perhaps he can be convinced to try out for Survivor, surely he can outwit, certainly he can outlast.  Maybe we can have a truce, and he will agree to leave a little of the garden for me to eat this year.

Oh yes, my garden. With a sense of awe I found the first seed catalog in the mailbox,  the pictures on the cover convincing me soon my yard will look like that. No matter the blight of last year. A true gardener remains eternally optimistic.

My body tells me we can go play in the dirt soon. My mind races with new ideas for plants, constantly re-designing the landscaping.

Soon too...I can make "lists" of things I need to buy for the season: seeds, flowers, stone. Time to get the John Deere in order, perhaps a new set of tires. Fun stuff....I'm being serious here. Spring make me feel alive, vital, old.  lol It is a wonderful season. Well mainly.

Unfortunately for some of us that will also mean tires for our cars too. If you live in Southwestern Pennsylvania, you also recognize an unpleasant sign of spring....POTHOLES!

Enough said about that!

Have a great day, smile and "Think Spring"
